Diligenty Work

Poem #1. This one started it all. I needed a poem for school. It had to be a sonnet with correct rhyme scheme and stuff like that. This one I didn’t like a lot, but it is my first.

Diligently Work

Matthew 9:37-38

As summer quickly rolls to an end,
And fall is just around the bend.
Serving faithfully, yes, you must;
In Jesus Christ, place all your trust.
The harvest, my friend, now is here
And Jesus Christ is very near.

Returning in the clouds He will,
Won’t that be a wonderful thrill?
What will He say to you, my friend:
“Well done or “Hell for you without end?”
“Diligently work” is all He asks,
I pity those who fail this task.
