Recording Step…Whatever

Well the time has come people. I am ready to begin the long and grueling recording process. I have basically everything I need, except for a full sized keyboard and a computer that can handle the sound that’s coming out of the keyboard. My laptop certainly can’t handle it. Other than that I am ready to start the process of recording. This I think is the hardest part. I’m excited to begin though the songs are simple yet exciting, beautiful and yet intense. Keep following me as I launch head first into this recording project.

FM Transmitter Maddness

Well I took my sister to her English class today. On the way back my FM transmitter ran out of battery power. Thankfully that morning I put the car adapter thing into in the car. I plugged it in and found out that it runs perfectly that way. Before it would be kind of staticy and cut out but it was perfect on the ride home. I’m going to be doing that from now on! YAY!

Wonderful Wedding

Well the trip there and back wasn’t bad. The wedding was simply beautiful. I’ll need to get some pictures up. There were seven bridesmaids and groomsmen, how interesting. The bride’s wedding dress was beautiful. You could just tell that it was her perfect wedding. (I found out later that she paid for it all herself, except for the catering which her parents paid for. I might add she wanted to pay for it.) I found out there that we were singning at the reception…which was really frustrating but out song was one of the best in my opion. Two of the bridesmaids sung O Perfect Love. The reception was good although I must admit I was stressing because I was helping with the technology and we couldn’t get it to work…how sad. Oh well, I think the wedding was just perfect. We ran into the happy couple at a gas station in town after the reception, how cool.

I also helped two girls carry their sound system out of the reception room. I didn’t realize sound equipment was so heavy. Of course it didn’t help that I have to lift a 30lb object with one hand and lift it above people’s heads so that I didn’t hit them while I tried to squeze through a tight isle. Uggg.

Well I’m Off

I have a wedding to attend to. It’s four hours away….I must play only one song which is probably about 3 minutes long. This is really sad. Oh, well. Maybe someday I’ll get to play a full wedding. Although if I got to do that I wouldn’t know what to play. I would also be afraid of ruining a wedding. If you think about it, that bride wants the day to be perfect. What if you want mess up. How sad. Oh well. Sometimes I think I don’t make sense.

Potatoe Chip Cookies!

Cookies straight from heaven. Since manna is an unknown substance I would venture a guess that it’s potatoe chip cookies(PCC, lol this is just so I don’t have to type it out all the time…it’s the same name as the college I’m going to.) Although you may think that these sound nasty they are actually really good. I must admit that they are a little greasy. I usually hate potatoe chips but these are the best. Let me list my favorite cookies:

New Photoshop!

Well, my dad bought new photoshop finally. We had Adobe Photoshop 3.0 and Adobe Premiere Elements 5.0, my dad got Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Elements 7.0! YAY! Finally an upgrade. Hopefully this better technology will improve my photoshoping skills.

No matter how repetitive this song is, the lyrics are so beautiful. Which leads me announce the name of the cd I’m working on: What Wondrous Love. You can view the link at the top of the page to find out more. Although the cd won’t be sold and it’s really only for me it will be fun to do this. I”ll be blogging through the whole experience; positive and negative.

A Thought

Do you know the saying: “Great minds think alike.”? Well my sister gave me some food for thought. She told me: “If great minds think alike then wouldn’t stupid minds as well?” I thought about it for a second and told her: “I guess you’re right.” Just food for thought.

A New Day

Well it’s the start of a new day and probably a new way of life. As many of you know Barrak Obama won by a lot. This is a sad day for many Republicans. I remember in the hours after that many of my friends on facebook were very sad and worried. Who wouldn’t be. Any president that comes in I’m worried about. You never know what will happen, but God is in control. All I can do is trust him.

If you haven’t noticed there is a new page on my blog. I am going to start working on a piano cd hopefully soon. You can see the list of songs that might be included. Hopefully it’ll all work. I was going to work on a Cd of flute Christmas music but I couldn’t get the audio quality correct. It made me really frustrated. If you have any suggestions for songs or anything like that I’ll take suggestions.

Election Day

With Election Day coming in just three days I wonder how it will turn out. Honestly all I can do is trust God for this. I am quite sad that I can’t vote…it really frustrates me to no end. My parents are Republican so I do tend to lean that way. Of course what my pastor said was very wise: “It’s the lesser of two evils.” Honestly neither really stand for lots of Biblical truths although McCain is more “Christian” than Obama. Enough of my ranting, I’ll just be praying lots.
